Luke Vercollone

Biography

Luke Vercollone. 24 years old. Second oldest of 11 children raised in south shore Massachusetts. Walked on to Seton Hall University’s soccer team quickly to become a starter and helped lead the Pirates to 3 consecutive NCAA tournaments. Captained team as a senior receiving 1st team all Big East honors and MLS draft pick (graduated in 2004). Played 2 seasons with New England Revolution (MLS) and preparing for second season with the Charleston Battery (USL 1st division).

“Sitting on the bench for the first time in my life in the MLS was very tough for me. However, this hardship helped to humble me, keep things in perspective, and overall strengthen my character while teaching me much more then I would have learned on the field.”

“My faith in Christ is the most important thing to me. This gift has helped me as an athlete but most importantly enriched all areas of my life. I do my best to practice my Catholic faith while constantly growing spiritually and being an example of Christ’s love – an instrument of His peace - in my profession.”

Luke also enjoys working with kids and coaches as well.
